Read you book a couple years ago. Amazing story, but was so much more real to see you speak today a Mimosa Lane Baptist church. My wife and I speak of you often. We bought 4 books today you signed for our children. We are praying God will continue to bless you and your minstry, and your books will be as much of a blessing to our children as it has been to us.

We heard you speak last night at Bellevue Baptist and just wanted to thank you and praise God for you and your testimony. What an inspiration.

What a privilege it was to hear you tonight in Memphis! Even though I've not heard about you and your husband until tonight, I knew when it was announced that you would be speaking that I had to come hear you. Your story is powerful and you touched my heart because you were compelled by the love of Christ to go to Iraq! I too am drawn to reach out to the 2.5 billion people in the 10/40 window countries who desperately need Christ! I'm convinced the Lord kept you alive to share with others of His compelling love and to use you to compell believers to reach this world with Christ's love and gospel! Thank you for coming and revealing your continued love for the people of Iraq. The fact that you hold no bitterness for the people who nearly killed you and who did kill your husband and friends shows God's transformation of your life and it's what melts my heart! May the Lord continue using you my dear sister in the Lord!

Carrie, I read Facing Terror not long after it was published, primarily because it was a story about missions. But as I read I became convinced it was really a love story...between you and David and God. It hit me that the way you conducted your relationship while on the field and your courtship once in the States is an excellent example for all single people. It's hard to keep God the main focus in relationships but especially in a society that has no real boundaries. Thank you for sharing your special love with us.
